an actual dream i had last night

Last night i had a dream that two cylons—the silver ones, with guns for hands—were coming to get me. Thus, I can honestly tell you exactly what I would do if I were to suffer a cylon attack in the near future.

First, I would grab a paper grocery sack, into which I would throw two pairs of shoes. I will most likely be wearing my jammies (which I do when preparing to go to bed in dreams, apparently, even though in real life I dress like baltar's cylon girlfriends—by which i mean i don't bother to dress at all.) Then, I would get my red hoodie, and my rain jacket, and I would really quick check my day planner one last time before running out the door in terror. Unfortunately, I notice that there are a couple things I've forgotten to add in, so I search around for a pen for a little while—my place is a mess!—and when I find it, I sit down and properly fill out my date book.

And then there is a noise. I think it's actually cylon theme music. I'm reminded that I should really get going. Thankfully, I have a cat sitter on hand, and all I have to do is call her and she takes Thurber out the window and they meet me at "the meeting location."

Umm, and then I escape.

I think this post scared everyone off. I know I'm frightened.

It was the thought of being haunted by sub-John Carpenter bad synth music that scared me.

Am I the only one who is phenomenally, horribly, and completely SICK of the Balthar/Six "I wish I was Steve Reich" theme? GODS, MAN, get a larger keyboard!

oh, it's horrid. in fact all the music is quite bad. the adult contemporary world music inspired theme causes me pain.

Yeah, the music is definitely the low point of the show. It's the kind of thing my fiance's hippie Mom who wears flowing robes at all times would listen to casually. Breathy, vaguely "world" music vocals. And the music whenever something mystical is happening? Oh my Gods!!!

BTW Anne, I know I have been having BSG dreams, but I haven't remembered the details of any of them...yet.

I'm going to be in the minority here, but I've got to say that the music doesn't bother me especially much. I mean, at least it's trying something different.

And really, until you've heard the ho-down that is the Firefly incidental music (not to mention the theme--oh my!), then you haven't heard truly embarrassing sci-fi soundtrack.

I've had dreams with cylons, but they are mostly helping me carry groceries and other such mundane tasks. is that a bad sign?

the music is really bad, but not as bad as that eighties ass red dress that the imaginary six is wearing all the frakking time!

Man,I wish I had a Cylon to help me with mundane tasks like carrying the groceries. Maybe I could get the PR Cylon to do my job while I sat on the roof at Bloodshot and drank Mimosas!
